Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and was a crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on these cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. In addition, she serves as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
